A spiritually vibrant atmosphere prevailed in Jalah village of Assam's Nagaon as hundreds of devotees gathered for a Bhagavata recitation and discourse programme organised by Kalpataru Prathamik under the aegis of the Srimanta Sankaradeva Sangha.
The religious event, held at the village Namghar, witnessed the participation of a large number of devotees from the early hours of the day until late evening. The programme began with the hoisting of the religious flag, followed by a Bhagavata procession, Naam-Prasanga and other devotional activities.
One of the prominent highlights of the event was the presence of respected religious preacher Jagat Bania, who delivered a detailed discourse on the Bhagavata and its spiritual significance.
Organisers said the overwhelming participation of devotees transformed the village into a centre of devotion and spiritual reflection. Men, women and elderly residents alike immersed themselves in devotional activities, creating a deeply religious and festive atmosphere throughout the day.
The programme concluded successfully with devotees expressing gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the spiritual gathering. Members and well-wishers of Kalpataru Prathamik expressed happiness over the remarkable turnout and the success of the event, which they described as a testament to the enduring influence of the teachings of Srimanta Sankaradeva.
