A forest official was injured in a rhinoceros attack at Kaziranga National Park in Assam on October 3, the day the park reopened for tourists after the monsoon break.
The incident took place in the Bhaichamari Forest Camp area under the Bagori Forest Range, where the forest official was on duty.
The injured forest worker has been identified as Pradip Barua.
Following the attack, Barua was rescued from the spot and taken to the Kaliabor Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital for medical treatment.
The incident occurred as Kaziranga National Park reopened its gates to tourists for the new season. Further details regarding the circumstances of the attack and Barua's condition were not immediately available.
