Assam: Kokrajhar college student found dead in rented room, suicide suspected

A student of Assam's Kokrajhar Government College was found dead in her rented room at Baganshali, on February 22. 
 

The student, identified as Sania Narzary, a resident of Hasraobari Lakhnabari under the Patgaon police outpost in Kokrajhar, was a fourth-semester BA student. 
 

Preliminary reports suggest that she allegedly died by suicide. 
 

Sania was discovered hanging from the ceiling fan inside her rented accommodation. The exact reason behind the alleged suicide remains unknown. 
 

Local authorities, including the police, reached the scene and initiated an investigation. 
 

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.
