Assam man claims years of abuse, catches wife with lover in public

In a startling incident that unfolded at Dumunichowki in Sipajhar, a man identified as Abdul Samed from Dipila Balipara apprehended his wife in a public space while she was allegedly roaming with her lover. The episode has brought to light a prolonged domestic dispute that spans nearly eight years.

According to reports, Abdul Samed married Juriana Begum in 2016 after extending help to her during a period of personal crisis in Guwahati. The couple began their marital life on a promising note and were later blessed with a child. However, their relationship gradually deteriorated.

Samed claims that he endured years of emotional distress and abuse due to his wife's repeated disappearances and involvement with multiple lovers. Despite lodging complaints at several police stations, he alleges that no significant legal action was taken.

On the day of the incident, with assistance from local residents, Samed was able to confront and detain his wife along with her alleged lover, a resident of Sholmari in Kamrup district. Police soon arrived at the scene and took both individuals into custody for further investigation.

The aggrieved husband now seeks justice and hopes the authorities will act decisively on the matter, bringing an end to what he describes as a long period of suffering and humiliation.
