Assam: Neighborly dispute over flower tree branches turns violent, leaves woman seriously injured

A seemingly trivial dispute over the branches of a flower tree escalated into a violent altercation, leaving a woman severely injured and prompting legal action. The incident took place in the vicinity of Main Road, straddling the border between the residences of Brinda Dutta Chowdhury and Badal Majumdar, culminating in a case registered at Sadar Police Station.

According to the complaint lodged, tensions flared as disagreements arose over the ownership and maintenance of the flower tree's branches. The confrontation escalated when Badal Majumdar attempted to trim the branches, leading to a heated exchange between the two parties. Matters took a grave turn when Brinda Dutta Chowdhury intervened, resulting in serious injuries inflicted upon Badal Majumdar.

In response to the altercation, Vrinda Dutta Chowdhury initiated legal proceedings, filing a case against Badal Majumdar and his son Tanmoy Majumdar. The charges include allegations of causing severe harm to Pran---, the woman who sustained injuries in the altercation.
