Assam police seize vehicle carrying stolen cattle, two arrested in Nalbari

Assam police on November 23, seized a vehicle carrying two stolen cattle at Kaplabari, Nagaaon following a tip-off, leading to the arrest of two individuals allegedly involved in cattle theft activities in the region.
The arrested persons have been identified as Hakim Ali (35), son of Makar Ali from Ghoruabaha in Nalbari, and Fulsan Ali (38), son of Ajahar Ali from Bakabar in Barpeta.
According to police sources, the duo is suspected to be part of a network engaged in cattle lifting across neighbouring areas.
The seized vehicle, bearing registration number AS14AC2485, along with the stolen cattle, has been taken into custody. Police said both accused are currently undergoing interrogation to uncover further links and possible accomplices.
The arrested duo are currently lodged at the Nalbari jail as the investigation continues to unearth the alleged cattle smuggling network.
