Assam: Python rescued in Boko’s Makeli village, triggers panic among residents

A large python created panic among locals after it was spotted in an agricultural field near the residence of one Giyasuddin Ahmed in the No. 1 Makeli area of Boko. The unexpected appearance of the reptile alarmed villagers, prompting immediate action.

Snake rescuer Bikash Boro responded swiftly to the situation, successfully capturing the python from the field. His timely intervention prevented any potential harm and calmed the agitated crowd that had gathered in fear.

Following its safe capture, the snake was carefully released into a nearby forest area, allowing it to return to its natural habitat. Forest department authorities were informed to ensure safe handling.

Experts note that such snake sightings, particularly during the summer months, are fairly common as reptiles venture out in search of food and cooler surroundings.
