Assam: Railways gear up Moranhat Station for PM Modi’s Amrit Bharat Sleeper train launch

The Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) Ajay Pradhan, along with his team, conducted an inspection of Moranhat Railway Station to review preparations ahead of the launch of the Amrit Bharat Sleeper train service.
Railway officials said that the Amrit Bharat Sleeper train service will soon be introduced from Dibrugarh and Moran Hat railway stations. As part of the launch, an inaugural programme will also be organised at Moranhat Railway Station, which will be attended virtually by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
To assess the arrangements for the inauguration, ADRM Ajay Pradhan arrived at Moranhat station on a special train along with senior railway officials and reviewed the overall preparedness. According to officials, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate several Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains across the country on January 17 and 18.
As part of the initiative, a new Amrit Bharat Sleeper train will be flagged off from Dibrugarh. The train will operate on the Dibrugarh–Moranhat–Guwahati–Lucknow (Gomti Nagar) route. In connection with the launch, inaugural programmes will also be held at other stations, including Simaluguri and Mariani.
During the inspection, ADRM Ajay Pradhan reviewed security arrangements, passenger amenities, platform decoration, communication systems and overall preparations for the event. He also issued necessary instructions to concerned officials to ensure the smooth conduct of the inauguration ceremony.
Railway authorities have assured that all arrangements for the event will be completed on time.
