Assam: SBI employee dies in Kokrajhar car accident

An accident occurred in Kokrajhar’s Diyahijhori (Rayapara) area under the Balajan Outpost late last night. The deceased has been identified as Regent Basumatary, an employee of the State Bank of India (SBI).

According to reports, Basumatary’s vehicle, bearing the registration number AS 16 J 6008, plunged into a pond during the night. The car, along with the driver, remained submerged until it was discovered in the morning.

Local authorities identified the victim as Regent Basumatary, but the exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
