Three determined young men from Sivasagar and Golaghat, Santosh Kumar Das (Sivasagar), Shobha De (Sivasagar), and Bhaskarjyoti Rajkhowa (Golaghat), have become beacons of inspiration for youth in the region by overcoming challenges and venturing into entrepreneurship.
Despite facing the barrier of being deaf, which made securing conventional employment difficult even with their educational qualifications, the trio chose not to depend on jobs or charity. Instead, they pooled their efforts and launched their own fast food stall named “Quick Bites with Deaf”, demonstrating resilience, initiative, and self-reliance.
The fast food stall now serves a wide range of delicious offerings and attracts a growing number of customers daily. The young entrepreneurs manage operations diligently while showcasing that determination and teamwork can overcome physical limitations.
Supported by their families and friends, the trio also urges the community to extend help and encouragement to differently-abled individuals, promoting inclusivity and collective growth. Their journey has not only empowered them economically but also set a remarkable example for others facing similar challenges.
