Assam police arrested three youths in connection with the alleged possession of suspected drugs during an anti-drug operation in Assam’s Majuli district.
During the operation, police seized six containers containing suspected narcotic substances, along with four mobile phones and two motorcycles from the possession of the arrested individuals.
According to preliminary information, the suspected drugs had allegedly been brought to Majuli from Lakhimpur. Police are expected to conduct further investigation to ascertain the source of the substances and the possible involvement of others in the alleged drug supply network.
The arrests and seizures are part of efforts by the police to curb the circulation of illegal drugs in the district.
