Assam: Three seriously injured in head-on collision on NH 715 in Kaliabor

Three people were seriously injured in a head-on collision between an Alto car and a trailer truck on National Highway 715 near Baghjan under Jakhalabandha Police Station late at night.

The accident involved an Alto vehicle (registration AS 01 AH 3496) and a trailer truck (registration PB 02 CR 8544). The impact of the crash left all three occupants of the Alto car critically injured.

The injured have been identified as Abhishek Roy from Hatigaon, Guwahati; Shyam Shah from Bihar; and Sanjay Dey from Jamunamukh, Hojai. They were initially rushed to the Kaliabor Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital for emergency treatment.

Due to the severity of their injuries, all three were referred to Guwahati for advanced medical care.

The collision caused a temporary disruption in traffic on the highway. Local police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
