Assam: Train accident in Guwahati claim two lives, three other injured

Tragedy struck near Guwahati's Birkusi area this morning when a speeding train collided with a group of workers walking along the railway tracks. Two workers lost their lives, and three others sustained injuries in the incident, which occurred near Narengi railway station.

A coworker informed, "This morning, on their way to work, there was a train accident involving people who live in Goalpara district and also work with us. There were five of them in total. Unfortunately, Shahinur Islam and Hafizul Rahman didn't survive, while Sahirul Islam, Sadagar Rahman, and Zahirul Islam sustained injuries and are currently hospitalized."

The deceased workers have been identified as Shahinur Islam and Hafizul Rahman, while the injured are Sahirul Islam, Sadagar Rahman and Zahirul Islam were reported in the collision were referred to GMCH for further treatment.
The heart-wrenching incident unfolded as the laborers were walking along the railway tracks towards their workplace.
