Assam: Villagers protest against prolonged power outage in Nalapara, demands immediate action

Residents of Nalapara Part 2 (Baghetara), located under the Boko Sub-Divisional Electricity Office along the Assam-Meghalaya border, have voiced strong dissatisfaction with the electricity department after enduring a power outage that has stretched over the past four days.

The continuous lack of electricity has severely disrupted daily life in the village. 

Residents report sleepless nights due to the extreme heat and discomfort, while students have been particularly affected, finding it impossible to study during the evening hours.

Villagers have demanded immediate action from the concerned authorities to restore normal power supply and alleviate the hardships faced by the community.
