A wild deer that strayed into Rangthoibari village in Baksa district, Assam under the jurisdiction of Simla police station, was successfully rescued and returned to its natural habitat.
According to reports, the deer is believed to have wandered out of Manas National Park and entered the village. Concerned residents promptly alerted the forest department of the national park, following which a special rescue team was dispatched to the location.
The team safely captured the deer and conducted a thorough health assessment. After ensuring the animal was in good condition, forest officials released it back into the dense forests of Manas National Park, restoring it to its natural environment.
