Assam: Woman caught watching pirated ‘Roi Roi Binale’ in Moran

In a shocking incident from the Moran area of Dibrugarh district, police have detained a woman for allegedly watching a pirated version of the blockbuster Assamese film “Roi Roi Binale”, starring popular singer-actor Zubeen Garg, on her mobile phone.
According to reports, the woman identified as Junty Gogoi, who runs a fast-food stall near Housefull Talkies in Moran, was caught watching the film on her phone. Locals who noticed the act immediately informed the Zubeen Friends Club about the incident.
Acting on the information, members of the club reported the matter to the Moran Police Station, following which the woman was taken into custody for questioning.
Police have seized her mobile phone as part of the investigation. During interrogation, Junty Gogoi reportedly told police that one of her customers had downloaded the full movie from a website and shared it with her.

The Zubeen Friends Club has filed a formal complaint not only against the individual responsible but also against the website involved in distributing the pirated content. The club has urged authorities to take prompt action and shut down the website immediately.
Police sources confirmed that a broader investigation is underway to identify others involved in the piracy network, warning that more arrests could follow. The incident has once again highlighted the growing menace of online piracy, which continues to affect the Assamese film industry despite repeated crackdowns.
