In a tragic incident at Fekamari in Hatsingimari, a woman lost her life in a fatal road accident early this morning. The accident occurred when a speeding pickup car lost control resulting in the unfortunate demise of the woman.
The deceased has been identified as Shepali Begum, aged 56, hailing from Fekamari village. The news of her death has sent shock waves across the region, leaving her family and the local community in mourning.
Reports indicate that the pickup car was carrying five cows at the time of the accident. Sadly, one of the cows was also killed, while the remaining four sustained serious injuries.
Following the accident, both the driver and the handyman fled the scene, leaving behind a scene of devastation. Local residents promptly notified the authorities, prompting the intervention of the Kharuabandha police station.
Upon arrival, the police recovered the body of the deceased woman and transported the injured livestock to the Kharuabandha police station for further assistance.
Efforts to retrieve the pickup vehicle involved the use of heavy machinery, with the police employing a JCB to recover the vehicle from the accident site.
