Assam: Youths brutally assaulted over cattle theft suspicion in Doomdooma

A disturbing case of alleged moral policing has emerged from the Daimukhia Tea Estate in Doomdooma, Assam where four young men were reportedly subjected to a violent assault on allegations of cattle theft.

According to local sources, a group of individuals, suspecting the youths of stealing cattle, took the law into their own hands and brutally beat them. The situation escalated until Wednesday evening when Doomdooma police intervened, rescuing the injured victims from the scene.

Police officials confirmed that all four assaulted youths were immediately provided with medical treatment and are currently under care.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that certain local groups attempted to suppress news of the incident, raising concerns about efforts to downplay the severity of the attack.

 Authorities have assured that an investigation is underway to identify those involved in the assault as well as any attempt to obstruct justice.
