Bhattadev University VC, two faculty members feature in SCIRANK Global Registry's top 5% scientists list

Bhattadev University has achieved a significant milestone after its Vice-Chancellor and two faculty members were featured in the list of the world's top 5 per cent scientists published by the SCIRANK Global Registry 2025.
The recognition has brought pride to the university and the entire Bajali district, highlighting the institution's growing contribution to scientific research and higher education.
The academics who secured places in the prestigious ranking are Professor Dhanapati Deka, Vice-Chancellor of Bhattadev University, Dr Debajyoti Dutta, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, and Dr Biswajit Changmai, Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry.
The SCIRANK Global Registry prepares its rankings based on several indicators, including research output, published scientific papers, citations, academic impact and overall contribution to the advancement of science.
Being ranked among the top 5 per cent of scientists globally is considered a notable achievement, given the vast number of researchers assessed from institutions across the world.
The accomplishment is particularly significant for Bhattadev University, a relatively young institution in Northeast India, as three of its academics have earned international recognition simultaneously.
Professor Dhanapati Deka was recognised for his long-standing contributions to scientific research and higher education. Meanwhile, Dr Debajyoti Dutta and Dr Biswajit Changmai were acknowledged for their research work, publication of scholarly papers in reputed scientific journals and efforts towards advancing knowledge in their respective fields.
