BJP-NDA will return to power in Assam with record mandate: Diplu Ranjan Sarma

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the New Guwahati Assembly constituency, Diplu Ranjan Sarma on Sunday, May 3 expressed confidence that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would retain power in Assam with a record mandate in the Assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters in Guwahati ahead of the counting of votes scheduled for May 4, Sarma said the party was fully prepared and optimistic about the outcome.
“The party is fully prepared. We are completely confident that this time, the BJP-NDA will come to power in Assam by breaking all previous records,” he said.
The BJP leader attributed the alliance’s confidence to the developmental initiatives undertaken by the government and the support received from the electorate across the state.
“We have worked for the people. We have done a lot of developmental work. The people have given their full blessings to BJP-NDA,” Sarma added.
The counting of votes for the Assam Assembly elections will begin on Sunday amid heightened political activity and security arrangements across the state. Leaders and workers of major political parties have expressed optimism as they await the results that will determine the next government in Assam.
