As Assam’s assembly elections heat up, BJP candidate Uttam Prasad, a frontrunner in the Dhubri constituency, launched an extensive door-to-door campaign, anchored in the slogan “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with all, Development for all).
Prasad is betting on a significant shift in the region’s traditional voting patterns, particularly among minority communities.
During interactions with residents, Prasad took a sharp aim at opposition parties, specifically the AIUDF and the Indian National Congress, accusing them of using religious sentiment for political gain over the past three decades while neglecting infrastructure and economic development.
“The mirror never lies. The minority community has finally realized what AIUDF and Congress have delivered in 30 years. In the name of religion, they ensured division for political advantage. Development was never on their agenda,” Prasad told supporters.
Expressing confidence that minority voters will pivot toward the ruling government this election, he emphasized that tangible progress and welfare benefits under the “double-engine” administration are now reaching grassroots communities without discrimination.
Prasad is personally visiting households to address local grievances, reiterating that the “Sabka Vikas” model is the only way to lift Dhubri out of its historical stagnation.
