The notice, addressed to Lutherson M Sangma (Headmaster), Subhadra Agitok, Pobitra Khaklary, Joya Prasad, Pradarshika Deka, Srijana Devi, and Swadesh Sarkar (4th Grade), warns of strict disciplinary action if a satisfactory explanation is not submitted within three working days. The office has stated that failure to respond may result in escalation to higher authorities, with potential consequences including "No Work, No Pay."
Copies of the notice have also been sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon, the District Mission Coordinator of SSA, and the Inspector of Schools cum i/c District Elementary Education Officer, Bongaigaon, for information.
The incident has raised concerns over staff accountability and adherence to duty in the district, with authorities emphasising the importance of maintaining regular school functioning to safeguard students’ academic interests.
