Cachar police nab fake doctor running illegal clinic in Sonai; 15 held so far

In a continued crackdown on fraudulent medical practitioners, Cachar Police have apprehended another fake doctor, bringing the total number of arrests in such cases to 15 so far.

Acting on a reliable input, police arrested Rajul Hoque Laskar (38), son of Monfar Ali Laskar of Nagdirgram Part-4, under Sonai Police Station, who was found operating an illegal clinic named ‘Baby Health Care’.

During the operation, necessary documents were lawfully seized from the premises, and a case has been registered against the accused. Police sources confirmed that 14 fake doctors had earlier been arrested in similar drives across the district.

Cachar Police said the ongoing crackdown aims to root out unqualified individuals posing as medical professionals. Further investigation is underway to identify others linked to the illegal network.
