Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma lauded the Indian armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for what he described as a historic and decisive military response against terrorism emanating from across the border.
Speaking on the recent India-Pakistan developments, Sarma said, “The DGMO explained all the strikes Indian armed forces carried out in Pakistan and provided proof. No country has ever killed over 100 militants in another country."
He further praised the Prime Minister's firm stance on counterterrorism: “The Prime Minister gave out a message to the world that wherever the terrorists are, we will kill every one of them, no matter where they hide. Today, the Prime Minister kept his word.”
Sarma emphasized the scale and precision of the operation, noting that it was the first time India had used missiles to eliminate over 100 terrorists in another country. He expressed gratitude to the armed forces and the Prime Minister, calling the action a powerful signal of India’s military capability and intent.
On the issue of ceasefire violations, the Chief Minister warned that “If Pakistan violates the ceasefire, Indian forces will give a befitting reply.”
