Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on March 23 described the upcoming election as “completely one-sided” and expressed confidence that the BJP would secure a historic victory.
Speaking to reporters, Sarma said there was “almost no opposition” in the contest and asserted that the electorate had made up its mind in favour of the ruling party.
“This is a completely one-sided election. There is almost no opposition, and the BJP is going to have a historic victory,” he said.
The Chief Minister also announced that the party’s manifesto would be released in the next two to three days.
“Our manifesto will be released in the next 2–3 days,” he said, adding that it would outline the BJP’s vision and commitments for the coming term.
