Mystery death of woman from Uttar Pradesh sparks sensation in Guwahati

A woman from Uttar Pradesh was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Tarun Nagar, Guwahati, creating a wave of shock and suspicion in the locality.

The deceased has been identified as Sangeeta Nishad, who was reportedly discovered dead in her home on June 2, her body found in a hanging position. 
Sangeeta had married Rajesh Kewat, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, on March 7 this year.

According to the woman's family, she had been subjected to constant mental harassment by her in-laws ever since the marriage. Though originally from Uttar Pradesh, Rajesh Kewat’s family currently resides in Guwahati.

Rajesh is employed with APDCL (Assam Power Distribution Company Limited).

After receiving news of her death, Sangeeta's family rushed from Uttar Pradesh to Guwahati. They have lodged a formal FIR at the Bhangagarh Police Station, accusing the husband’s family of involvement in her death.

They have specifically levelled murder charges against her husband, demanding a thorough investigation into the incident.

Police are currently probing the case, and further details are awaited.
