NPP opens Dima Hasao district office on Zubeen Garg’s first death anniversary

The National People’s Party (NPP) on September 19 formally inaugurated its Dima Hasao district office in Haflong, with party leaders paying tribute to late singer Zubeen Garg on his first death anniversary.
The inauguration was attended by NPP Working President and Rajya Sabha MP Jomsh Changwa as the chief guest.
Senior NPP leader Daniel Langthasa, Dima Hasao district president Alo Daodung, Rahul Naiding, Galong Thausen and several other party leaders and workers were present at the event.
Following the inauguration of the district office, NPP leaders and workers observed Zubeen Garg’s first death anniversary by lighting a ceremonial lamp before his portrait and offering floral tributes.
Jomsh Changwa, along with other leaders and workers present at the programme, paid tribute to the late singer and remembered his contribution to Assam’s cultural landscape.
The newly inaugurated district office is expected to serve as a base for strengthening the NPP’s organisational activities in Dima Hasao and improving coordination among its leaders and workers in the district.
The party said the office would play an important role in streamlining its organisational activities and strengthening coordination among its cadre in the hill district.
