Olympian Lovlina Borgohain extends relief to flood-hit families in Assam's Sivasagar

Olympic medallist and Commonwealth Games champion Lovlina Borgohain visited flood-affected areas in Sivasagar district on August 7, extending support to families affected by the recent floods by distributing essential relief materials.

During her visit, the star boxer interacted with flood-hit residents, listened to their concerns and assured them of her solidarity during the difficult time.

Expressing grief over the devastation caused by the floods, Lovlina said the condition of the affected families was deeply distressing.

"It is heartbreaking to witness the situation here. People are mentally shattered after everything they have gone through. I came here to stand by them and offer a few words of encouragement," she said.

Her visit and humanitarian gesture brought hope to many flood-affected families, with local residents appreciating her efforts to personally reach out and support those impacted by the disaster.
