Over 200 athletes participate in Assam's Nagaon district Taekwondo championship

The seventh edition of the All Nagaon District Inter-Club Taekwondo Championship began on Saturday, May 9, in Assam’s Nagaon district, bringing together young martial artists from across the district.

The two-day championship is being held at GNDG Commerce College in Nagaon, with participation from 11 Taekwondo clubs representing different parts of the district.

The competition features multiple age-group categories, including Under-5, Cadet, Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior divisions, providing a platform for athletes of different age groups to showcase their skills.

Organisers said more than 200 participants have registered for the championship, making it one of the district’s largest Taekwondo events in recent years.

The championship is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, and selected winners from different categories will go on to represent Nagaon district in the upcoming All Assam Taekwondo Championship.
