Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Namrup in Assam’s Dibrugarh district on December 21, where he will lay the foundation stone of a major new project worth approximately Rs 10,000 crore.
The Prime Minister will attend a significant programme at Namrup, during which he will inaugurate the foundation work for a new brownfield ammonia–urea manufacturing unit to be set up within the Namrup Fertilizer Plant complex.

Officials stated that the proposed project will play a crucial role not only in boosting fertilizer production but also in driving industrial development, generating employment, and strengthening the overall economy of Assam and the wider northeastern region.
The state government and district administration are making extensive preparations to make the event historic and well-organized.
