Rhino attacks tourist vehicle in Manas National Park

A group of tourists had a narrow escape when a huge rhinoceros aggressively charged at their vehicle on the Mathanguri-Banhbari road within the Banhbari range of Manas National Park. 

The incident, captured on a tourist's camera, showed the terrifying moment as the bull rhinoceros punched the vehicle, highlighting the recurring issue of rhinoceros attacks in the area.

The quick thinking and prompt action of the driver were crucial in saving the lives of the tourists. This alarming encounter adds to a series of similar incidents in the past where massive rhinos have caused significant damage to tourist vehicles, raising concerns about visitor safety in the park.

Manas National Park, renowned for its rich biodiversity and wildlife, has seen an increase in human-wildlife conflicts, particularly involving rhinos. 

Authorities are urged to take necessary measures to prevent such dangerous encounters in the future and ensure the safety of both the wildlife and the visitors.
