Sribhumi Police seize over 29,000 yaba tablets worth crores, two peddlers arrested

Sribhumi police on Augsst 19 seized a large consignment of yaba tablets valued at several crores during a raid in the Poyamara Bypass area.

Acting on specific intelligence, police intercepted two individuals and recovered 29,400 yaba tablets from their possession. The arrested accused have been identified as Munin Ahmed (32) and Salman Ahmed (28), both residents of the Kanishail locality in Sribhumi.

Authorities confirmed that both accused are under interrogation as part of an ongoing investigation to trace the wider supply chain and identify possible links to interstate drug networks.

Officials stated that the seizure marks a major success in curbing the trafficking of synthetic drugs in the region, adding that intensified operations will continue in the coming days.
