A shocking incident of alleged corporal punishment has come to light from Bongaigaon district of Assam, where a Class VII student was reportedly severely assaulted by a teacher inside a school classroom.
The incident took place at Bidyamandir M.E. School located in Bhakarivita area of Bongaigaon. According to reports, students of Class VII were creating noise inside the classroom when teacher Sushankar Dutta allegedly lost his temper and physically assaulted a female student by hitting her on the head and ears.
