Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is currently on the move from Khanapara Veterinary Field towards the DC office in Hengrabari as he leads a massive roadshow before filing his nomination for the Jalukbari Assembly Constituency.
The nomination is scheduled to be filed between 12:00 pm and 12:45 pm on March 20 at the designated office.
The ongoing procession has drawn an estimated 30,000–40,000 supporters, with large crowds lining the streets, cheering, and raising slogans as the convoy moves forward through the city.
Sarma is accompanied by his wife Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, his son Nandil Sarma, and Guwahati MP Bijulee Kalita Medhi.
However, what grabbed maximum public attention was the visual spectacle of large cutouts of the Chief Minister dressed in various “Superman-style” poses. The creative cutouts, depicting different moods and heroic gestures, were carried high by supporters throughout the procession, turning into a major crowd-puller and talking point of the rally.
The procession continues amid strong public participation and loud political slogans in support of the BJP and the Chief Minister as he proceeds towards the nomination venue.
