Amid an informal competition among Durga Puja committees to create attractive pandals across the 83rd Margherita Legislative Assembly constituency in Assam’s Tinsukia district, a unique creation at Paulpara has emerged as a major attraction this year.
Inspired by Sahaj Path, the iconic Bengali primer written by Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel laureate and celebrated poet, the pandal brings back memories of childhood and the charm of a bygone era.
The distinctive design has caught the attention of visitors across Margherita Co-District, drawing devotees from nearby localities as well as far-off places.
Organised by the Margherita Friend Star Club, the Durga Puja has been celebrated continuously since 1981. This year marks the committee’s 46th edition.
With its nostalgic theme and carefully crafted presentation, the Paulpara pandal has become a prominent destination for devotees, who are gathering in large numbers to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga.
