A tiger killed a head of cattle near Naharbasti along National Highway 715, close to the Kaziranga National Park area, on Saturday, August 29.
The incident took place near the Burapahar Range Forest Officer’s office, with the cattle carcass found close to the national highway.
According to local reports, the tiger killed the cattle inside the Kaziranga National Park area before the carcass was found near NH-715.
The incident occurred close to the highway, raising concerns among local residents and motorists about the movement of wildlife in the area.
Forest officials are expected to assess the situation and take necessary measures to monitor wildlife movement in the vicinity.
