Tinsukia couple brings hope to flood-hit orphanage, spreads smiles among 164 children

A couple from Tinsukia has extended a helping hand to orphaned children residing at the Gyanankush Residential Orphanage, run by the Purvottar Bikash Parishad at 1 No. Balupora, which has been affected by artificial flooding in the district.

Ashok Agarwala and his wife Sushma Joysuwal visited the orphanage and distributed light refreshments along with essential items among the children during this difficult time. Their gesture brought smiles and joy to the young residents, many of whom have lost their parents at an early age.

The Gyanankush Residential Orphanage was established in 2014 with the collective efforts of several kind-hearted individuals from different sections of society. It initially began with 16 children, taking responsibility for their food, shelter, education and overall well-being.

At present, the orphanage is providing education and care to 164 children in a supportive and nurturing environment.

The humanitarian initiative undertaken by Ashok Agarwala and Sushma Joysuwal has been widely appreciated by conscious members of society, who have welcomed their noble effort to support the children during the flood crisis.
