In a rare moment of unity beyond politics, ministers, MLAs, and party workers of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) gathered at Narengi Gold Cinema Hall in Guwahati on October 31 to watch the second screening of Zubeen Garg’s final cinematic work, Roi Roi Binale.
The party had booked 218 seats for the special 11 a.m. show, which turned into a heartfelt tribute to the late music icon who continues to inspire generations across Assam. Fans began arriving at the venue as early as 8 a.m., filling the atmosphere with emotion and admiration for the beloved artist.
AGP ministers Atul Bora and Keshab Mahanta, along with several senior leaders and party members, were seen seated among the audience, watching the film with deep appreciation.

“Today is not about politics,” one party member said. “Everyone has come together to celebrate Zubeen Da — the voice of Assam.”
The screening reflected the collective sentiment across the state, where Roi Roi Binale has transformed into more than just a movie — a farewell celebration of Zubeen Garg’s artistic journey and enduring legacy.
Earlier on October 30, Water Resources Minister Pijush Hazarika, during his visit to Gohpur, urged the people of Assam to watch Roi Roi Binale, calling Zubeen Garg one of the most significant figures in Assam’s cultural landscape over the past 30 years. Hazarika also said he himself would watch the much-awaited film.
