Two alleged poachers arrested with 22 dead parrots in Assam’s Sadiya

Two people were allegedly arrested by Sadiya Police with 22 dead parrots during a naka-checking operation late at night, police sources said.
The accused have been identified as Kul Bahadur Pradhan (24), a resident of Sadiya, and Larjipong Dulong (42), a resident of Arunachal Pradesh.
According to sources, the duo was allegedly transporting the dead parrots from Sadiya towards Roing in Arunachal Pradesh when they were intercepted by police during the checking operation.
Preliminary information suggests that the parrots were allegedly hunted near Magar Basti along the Kundil River in Sadiya.
Dulong is reportedly an IRBN personnel in Arunachal Pradesh, according to sources.
The two were taken into custody following the interception, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the alleged hunting and transportation of the birds.
The Sadiya Regional Forest Officer is expected to provide further details on the case.
