Two youths killed after motorcycle crashes into divider in Assam's Dima Hasao

Two youths were killed in a road accident after the motorcycle they were riding allegedly lost control and crashed into a road divider on National Highway-27 at Matlangpai in Hatikhali, under Langting Police Station in Assam's Dima Hasao district on Sunday, July 19.

The deceased have been identified as Mohit Warisa, a resident of Kamathipur in Hatikhali, and Bishal Langthasa, a resident of Langrodisa in Hatikhali.

According to preliminary reports, the motorcycle veered out of control before hitting the road divider with force. Both riders sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.

Local residents and authorities rushed the victims to Lumding Civil Hospital. However, doctors declared both of them brought dead on arrival.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
