GUWAHATI: Football prodigy Apurna Narzary from Assam has been selected for the India Under-19 Women’s National Football Team for the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U-19 Women's Championship, 2021, to be held in Bangladesh's at BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka from 11 to 22 December, 2021.
Assam's Sports Minister Bimal Borah has extended his congratulations to the young star via Twitter.
"Heartiest congratulations to our very own Apurna Narzary for getting selected in the India U-19 Women's National Football Team for the SAFF U-19 Women's Championship, 2021 to be held in Bangladesh. My best wishes," Borah wrote in his post.
