Minister of Urban development, Health and Family Welfare, Pijush Hazarika along with some officials of FSSAI, visited various fruit go-downs in Guwahati where they discovered some harmful chemicals generally used to ripen the fruits, today in the morning.
Hazarika directed the officials to take necessary actions against these vendors so that these harmful fruits cannot be sold in market.
Moreover he also went to various milk shops and milk vans to inquire of the purity of the milk and made sure to keep this drive in continuation throughout the state.
