ASSAM: WELFARE SCHEME FOR TEA TRIBES LAUNCHED IN TINSUKIA

Chai Janajati Karmi Awaz Bidyuti Karan Yojna was launched in the Sukkan Pukhuri area of Tinsukia district.  LED bulbs were distributed to as many as 554 families as a part of the scheme. Each family was credited with three bulbs of nine watt. The inauguration ceremony was led by Labour Minister Pallab Lochan Das and MLA from Tinsukia Constituency, Sanjay Kisan. Officials from the Electricity department resided over the distribution ceremony too. The Scheme aims to cover 95,238 families for distribution of LED bulbs.
