Eastern Air Command chief Amit Dev visits forward locations in Sikkim

GANGTOK: Air Marshal Amit Dev, the Air Officer Commanding in Chief of the eastern Air Command, visited forward locations in Sikkim on February 17 and 18.

The Air Marshal interacted with senior officers of the Indian Army and discussed means to synergise and support the efforts of the army.

Dev also reviewed the preparedness and appreciated the good work done by the helicopter units in undertaking the air maintenance tasks.

He advised all personnel to continue with COVID precautions and work towards enhancing the combat capability through focused training.

During the visit, he also interacted with the aircrew of the Apache unit, which has been deployed in the Eastern sector for the first time.
