International athlete commits suicide

Guwahati, November 14, 2018:

International athlete Parvinder Chaudhary on Tuesday allegedly committed suicide in the athletics academy at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Delhi.

The 18-year-old sprinter allegedly hung himself from a ceiling fan of his hostel room.

According to reports, an official of the Sports Authority of India said he came across an argument that broke out the deceased and his father over the phone.

Chaudhary was rushed to the hospital but the doctors declared him ‘brain dead’.
