Manipur: Opium worth Rs 24.52 lakh seized

Personnel of the Assam Rifles under IGAR (South) seized 32.7 kg of opium worth Rs 24.52 lakh that was packed in 31 packets at Assam Rifles check post, Lambui in Ukhrul district on Saturday. The opium was concealed in hidden compartments inside a vehicle

One person identified as Thangkhohao Haokip has also been apprehended in this connection. He has been handed over to Shangshak police station for further investigation.
