Manipur, Sikkim win tourism awards

Manipur and Sikkim received “Today’s Traveller Awards 2018” in New Delhi on Tuesday.

While Manipur Tourism bagged the “Best State for Promotion of Festivals & Fairs under the Domestic Tourism” category for the first time, Sikkim Tourism bagged the “Best Rural Traveller Destination Award”.

In its 12^th Edition, the awards were given away at Hotel Taj Palace in New Delhi by Union Commerce & Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu.

Sikkim’s Tourism Secretary CP Dhakal received the award on behalf of the State’s tourism department.
