GANGTOK: As many as four persons were killed and 9 others were injured in a road accident in South Sikkim.

The incident took place last evening at 2nd Mile Sumbuk under Jorethang police station (PS) in South Sikkim.

The deceased persons have been identified as---Lok Prasad Rai, Roma Devi Rai, Santa kumari Rai and Buddha Kumar Rai.

While those who sustained severe injuries have been identified as--Surachan Rai, Ram Kumar Rai, Bishnu Maya Rai, Sanju Rai, Chandra Kri Rai, Sarita Rai, Sanchalall Rai, and Ashok Singh Rai, all of them from Sumbuk, South Sikkim.

Moreover, the driver has been identified as Ramesh Majhi. Majhi also sustained a minor injury in the accident.
