Three injured in mine blast in Mizoram

Aizawl, March 12, 2019:

A land mine exploded near Mizoram-Myanmar border, inside Myanmar territory on Monday causing injury to three persons.

The three injured persons have been identified as Berona (36), Sumarua (30), and Lalbia (30). Sources said that the incident took place when Berona put his foot on the landmine and it exploded immediately as they crossed into Myanmar in search of vegetables. The impact of the blast immediately shattered the leg of the victim.

The injured were later taken to the Assam Rifles camp at Parva.
