Tripura CM gives stern warning to opposition workers for unleashing violence, says no one will be spared

Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on March 3 gave a stern warning to the opposition political party workers for unleashing violence on BJP workers.

The CM has also said that no one would be spared and has directed the Police to take strict action.

CM Dr Saha visited GB Pant hospital on march 3 to meet the BJP karyakartas who came under attack after the results were declared on March 2.

“It is a matter of regret that even after repeated appeals, the opposition leaders failed to restrain their party workers and cadres from any kind of violence. The election was held peacefully across the state which has created a new history and the result also was peaceful. I want to thank the Chief Electoral Officer and other government officials for conducting this peaceful election”, said CM Dr. Saha.

He however claimed that launching attacks and carrying out violence are the habits of opposition political parties. 

“Yesterday I heard about the news. In different places like Cahwmanu of Dhalai district, Bishalgarh in Sepahijala district, Barjala, and Bamutia in West District violence took place where our karyakarta somehow rescued themselves. I want to thank Doctors for their treatment. I directed the police administration not to spare anyone and to take strict action against the culprits”, he told reporters.

Reiterating that no one will be spared, Dr. Saha said, “We want to come out from the culture of terror that Left Front had created during their regime. We have appealed to our karyakartas to restrain them from violence. People will not accept such behaviours from the opposition parties. Strict action would be taken against the persons engaged with the violence”.
